RN Staff Development

• Plans, controls, and executes new hire orientation and ongoing training programs.
• Completes hands-on skills competencies by observing nursing staff members and offering areas for improvement.
• Demonstrates cooperation in assisting others and working as a team.
• Demonstrates patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude toward residents and their support networks.
• Coordinates mandatory in-service requirements for all facility staff in addition to education on an as-needed basis for all shifts and departments.

Required Qualifications

• Current state RN license and be a nurse in good standing.
• Meet all applicable federal and state licensure requirements.
• Ability to supervise and instruct others.
• Knowledgeable of general, rehabilitative, and infection control requirements, OSHA laws and regulations, nursing and medical practices, and guidelines governing long term care.

PREFERRED Qualifications

• Attention to detail, good follow through skills, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Previous experience in a hospital or long term care facility.
