Responsibilities

  • Maintains individual clinical and administrative excellence
  • Plans and implements orientation program for all new personnel
  • Leads and or assists as directed by the NATP Primary Coordinator the Nurse Aide training classes
  • Evaluates competence of new staff at the conclusion of individual orientation program
  • Develops and presents group education programs
  • Reviews clinical documentation, conducts announced and unannounced supervisory home visits or clinical observations to evaluate adherence to practice standards and regulatory requirements
  • Responsible for quality assurance activities including audits, reports, and participation on committees and work groups

Requirements

  • Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and one (1) year of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse at least six (6) months of which must have involved staff development, education or supervision; or Graduation from an approved school of professional nursing with an Associates Degree or Diploma Nursing Program and eighteen (18) months of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse at least six (6) months of which must have involved staff development, education or supervision.
  • Must have current Train the Trainer Certification
  • This position may be Full Time 40 hours or Part Time 24 hours per week.
