Responsibilities
- Evaluates learning needs of patients and families and provides appropriate education.
- Effectively delegates tasks to support staff.
- Precepts student nurses and new hires.
- Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care based on assessments.
- Maintains accurate documentation and communicates patient conditions.
- Collaborates with other healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care plans.
Requirements
- Accredited Program: Nursing
- ACLS American Heart E-Card
- BLS American Heart E-Card
- Registered Nurse Compact License (RN LICENSE COMPACT)
- Registered Nurse License (RN LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)
Qualifications

Department Specific Credentials
- ONCC Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Certificate Required for those RNs administering chemotherapy.
- APHON Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider card required within 12 months of hire for those RNs administering chemotherapy for oncologic indication within the pediatric setting.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required for ICU, ED, PACU, Endo, Tele, OB, MHN Pre-Op and Specialty Procedural areas.
- PALS required for Pediatric areas with the exception of NICU.
- NRP certification required for NICU – if RN is coming from a non-NICU background, they have 30 days from date of hire to obtain NRP.
