About the role

We provide direct patient care in a specialty unit, collaborating with other disciplines to ensure comprehensive patient care. Our team focuses on delivering exceptional care in our diverse community settings.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including disposition, referral, and spiritual and psychosocial support needs.
• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
• Maintains vigilance over patient condition and communicates effectively with relevant parties.
• Delegates patient care tasks to appropriate personnel as necessary.
• Precepts student nurses and new hires.
• Evaluates learning needs of patients and families and provides appropriate education.

Requirements

• Accredited Program: Nursing
• ACLS American Heart E-Card
• BLS American Heart E-Card
• Registered Nurse Compact License (RN LICENSE COMPACT)
• Registered Nurse License (RN LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)

Qualifications

• One (1) year of nursing experience required.

Department Specific Credentials

• ONCC Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Certificate Required for those RNs administering chemotherapy.
• APHON Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider card required within 12 months of hire for those RNs administering chemotherapy for oncologic indication within the pediatric setting.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required for ICU, ED, PACU, Endo, Tele, OB, MHN Pre-Op and Specialty Procedural areas.
• PALS required for Pediatric areas with the exception of NICU.
• NRP certification required for NICU – if RN is coming from a non-NICU background, they have 30 days from date of hire to obtain NRP.
