About the Role
The Block Nurse is a licensed RN with knowledge of anesthetic agents and techniques, trained in providing care to patients undergoing regional anesthesia procedures. This RN will partner with anesthesiologists, CRNAs, surgeons, and the perioperative team to deliver excellence in pain management through strong procedural performance, critical thinking, advocacy, and compassion. The role requires developing trusted rapport with the interdisciplinary team, adapting to rapidly changing schedules, and demonstrating effective time management and communication skills.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 06:30 AM – 2:00 PM
This position is authorized for 80 hours bi-weekly.
Requirements
- Current unrestricted Arkansas RN License
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school (BSN preferred)
- BLS certification by the American Heart Association (prior to date of hire)
- ACLS certification by the American Heart Association (prior to date of hire)
- Minimum of 3 years nursing experience
- At least 1 year of recent experience in Perioperative, Block Nurse, PACU, or ICU (preferred)
