Responsibilities
- Knowledgeable of resident rights and ensures an atmosphere which allows for the privacy, dignity and well-being of all residents in a safe, secure environment
- Safeguard the safety of residents through adherence to safety protocols, reporting unsafe conditions, and participating in quality improvement initiatives
- Confidentially handle all resident, employee, and operational data
- Comply with legal and organizational policies to ensure a harassment-free and inclusive workplace
- Collaborate with team members to support common goals and address resident needs
- Communicate tactfully and appropriately in sensitive situations, follow up on complaints, and adhere to work schedules
- Complete required training, maintain professional standards, and fulfill other assigned duties
- Perform rounds, observe residents, administer treatments, and notify physicians of changes in condition
- Admit, transfer, and discharge residents according to policy, review and update care plans, and report incidents
- Assist non-professional staff, evaluate their work, and participate in meetings and training sessions
Requirements
- Current, unencumbered RN license in the state
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to read, interpret documents, and write routine reports
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and handling fractions and decimals
- Proficiency in computer applications and software used in healthcare settings
- Problem-solving abilities, data analysis, and the ability to draw conclusions from various types of information
- Physical stamina to perform tasks requiring lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling up to 60 pounds
- Positive attitude and willingness to work in a supportive team environment
- Good physical and mental health, free from communicable diseases
