About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) manages individualized patient care by promoting and restoring patients' health through the nursing process.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with members of the patient's treatment team to provide assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation services.
• Performs physical exams, health histories, nursing assessments, and routine observations for patients within established time frames.
• Provides direct patient care including administering medications, wound care, injections, intravenous infusions, and other treatment interventions while operating standard critical care equipment safely and correctly.
• Navigates and intervenes in life-threatening emergencies, including the administration of emergency drugs and defibrillator or other emergency treatments.
• Documents patient assessment findings, care rendered, procedures performed, and other aspects of the patient's plan of care, making periodic updates related to the patient's condition and response to treatment.
• Provides patient and family health education based on assessed needs for indicated health conditions, medications, overall wellness, and directions for follow-up care.
• Adheres to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines and quality control methods.

Qualifications

• Required education: Associates degree in nursing.
