RN - Same Day - Fountain Valley - FT Rotate

About the role

The Same Day Services registered nurse provides direct patient care, in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, to assigned patients in the Same Day Services units. The registered nurse is supportive, compassionate, efficient, detail-oriented team player with excellent interpersonal skills and who collaboratively maintains plan of care for the vulnerable patients.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act
• Supports, cares for, and educates patients and families
• Maintains a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Documents patient care activities accurately and timely
• Ensures compliance with hospital policies and procedures

Requirements

• Current California RN license
• Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS and PALS certification
• Recent acute care experience preferred
• Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms

Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships across the Health System
