Job Responsibilities
- Triage patients based on the critical nature and severity of their condition.
- Assess patient condition through visual evaluation, medication reconciliation, and vital sign measurements.
- Administer medication and assist with medical procedures as prescribed by the treating physician.
- Maintain monitoring of patients for changes in condition and communicate effectively with relevant parties.
- Collaborate with other members of the patient care treatment team in providing procedures, interventions, discharge, or admission processes.
- Chart all patient medical history, contact information, condition, medications, and treatment updates in the electronic medical record.
- Discharge patients from the Emergency Room post-treatment, completing discharge instructions, educating the patient or caregiver, and confirming transportation.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Education Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse Program by date of hire.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum: Two (2) years of Critical Care experience.
- Minimum: Two (2) years of Emergency Department experience.
Licenses & Certifications Requirements
- Registered Nurse licensed to practice in the state of Indiana.
- BLS- Basic Life Support.
- PALS.
