Job Responsibilities
- Triage patients based on the critical nature and severity of their condition.
- Absorb patient conditions through visual evaluation, medication reconciliation, and vital sign measurements.
- Administer medication and assist with medical procedures as directed by the physician.
- Maintain vigilance over patient conditions and communicate effectively with relevant parties.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals during the provision of care, interventions, and discharge processes.
- Accurately chart patient medical history, contact information, condition, medications, and treatment updates.
- Discharge patients from the Emergency Department after treatment, providing discharge instructions, education, and confirming transportation.
Education Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse Program by date of hire.
Experience Requirements
- Two (2) years of Critical Care experience.
- Two (2) years of Emergency Department experience.
Licenses & Certifications Requirements
- Registered Nurse license to practice in the state of Indiana.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - American Heart Association.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - American Heart Association.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - American Heart Association.
