RN Residency - Med/Surg Fall 2026

This RN Residency Program is a comprehensive 12-month transition-to-practice initiative designed to support new graduate nurses. It combines precepted orientation, mentorship, peer support, and blended learning to develop clinical judgment, communication skills, and professional growth. Participants will gain experience in acute care specialties such as Post-Surgical/GI, Neurology, Orthopedics, Renal, Oncology, and General Medical. Key Responsibilities Include Providing safe, quality nursing care based on the nursing processAssessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient careCoordinating care activities and maintaining standards of practiceEngaging in professional growth and demonstrating accountability Qualifications Graduate of a nursing program, eligible as a new graduateCurrent Georgia RN license and BLS CPR certificationBSN preferred; additional certifications in specialty areas are a plus Required skills include leadership, effective communication, initiative, independent judgment, and resilience in stressful environments.
