About the Role

The RN Resident is responsible for successfully completing a 12-month Nurse Residency Program designed to support new graduates with less than 6 months of experience in transitioning to professional nursing practice.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized, high-quality patient care following evidence-based standards, utilizing the nursing process, and practicing cultural competence.
  • Collaborate within interdisciplinary teams, document care accurately, and promote patient and family engagement.
  • Complete initial and ongoing competency assessments.
  • Serve as a preceptor or mentor.
  • Support performance improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice activities.
  • Uphold organizational policies, legal, and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in data collection and develop protocols to improve patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
  • Active RN licensure (multi-state or single-state).
  • Certifications including BLS.
  • Demonstrated strong critical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to excellence in patient care.
