About the role
The Piedmont Atlanta Hospital's Fall 2026 RN Residency Program begins in October/November 2026. This 12-month program focuses on transitioning new graduate nurses into professional practice through education, mentorship, and peer support.
Responsibilities
- Develop clinical judgment to recognize changes in patient conditions and the urgency of clinical situations.
- Cultivate excellent communication skills to engage with colleagues and support patients.
- Participate in cohort experiences designed to promote peer and professional socialization and strengthen professional commitment to nursing.
- Learn didactic content tailored to new graduates from professional nursing organizations.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Graduate of a nursing program.
- Minimum licensure/certification: Current license in the state of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC multistate Registered Nurse license.
- BLS CPR certification.
