About the role
The registered nurse (RN) position at Mayo Clinic involves coordinating direct patient care, administering treatments, educating patients and families, and assessing adverse events in accordance with clinical study protocols. This role supports professional nursing practice across various settings and care levels.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates direct patient care, including treatment administration, patient/family education, and adverse event assessment in accordance with clinical study protocols.
- Serves as a leader through activities such as preceptor role, informal and formal leadership roles, and quality improvement efforts.
- Delegates patient care based on skill level, experience, patient acuity, fiscal accountability, and resource availability.
- Possesses excellent communication skills and mentors and teaches effectively.
- May participate on committees or projects.
- Preferred to have specialized knowledge and skills related to a wide variety of research protocols in a variety of specialties, understanding and advocating for human subject rights.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program, as recognized by ACEN, CCNE, or NLN CNEA.
- Minimum of two years previous RN experience in ambulatory and/or acute care settings preferred.
- Chemo/Biotherapy experience preferred.
- Works flexible hours Monday through Friday, 10hr shifts.

Pay
- RN RESEARCH AD/DIP Rate: $29.94 - $44.97/ hr
- RN RESEARCH BSN Rate: $33.71 - $50.62/hr
- RN RESEARCH MSN: $34.75 - $52.11/hr
Schedule
- Full Time
- Three 10hr shifts, M-F, Normal Business Hours.
- No nights or Weekends.
