RN / REGISTERED NURSE - REHOBOTH SURGICAL HOSPITAL - PART TIME - NIGHTS

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered nursing care to post-surgical and orthopedic patients, ensuring comfort, safety, and optimal recovery outcomes.
• Perform comprehensive assessments, monitor patient status, and promptly communicate changes to the appropriate members of the healthcare team.
• Prioritize patient care responsibilities effectively using strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and time management skills.
• Adapt quickly to changing patient needs in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Accurately document patient care, assessments, and interventions in the electronic medical record.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, infection prevention guidelines, and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe care environment.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care, medications, mobility, and recovery expectations.
• Support confident discharge planning by reinforcing instructions and ensuring understanding.
• Delegate tasks appropriately and provide supervision, guidance, and support to nursing assistants and other support staff.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care.
• Engage in unit-based councils, shared governance activities, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to maintain clinical competency and support evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• Acute care/hospital experience.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and EMR skills.
• Orthopedic Nurse Certification (ONC) preferred.
• DE or Compact RN license.
• BLS and NIH Stroke Certification.
• ACLS (within 6 months of hire).

Pay

Entry USD $36.20/Hr. Max USD $59.73/Hr.
