(RN) Registered Nurse Per Diem - OSC Hillcrest - 140270

About the role

The Hillcrest Same Day Operating Room will have multiple services including Orthopedics, Urology, Pain Procedures, IR, ENT, Plastics and Vascular Service lines. This Peri-Operative Services RN will primarily work in the Hillcrest Same Day Operating Rooms but will cross-train to the Main OR.

Responsibilities

• Autonomous nursing care
• Provide nursing actions as appropriate for patient care populations based on competence, professional expertise, and knowledge
• Practice autonomously consistent with ANA Standards of Practice and Professional Performance
• Exercise independent judgment within the context of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches to patient care

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of California
• BLS/CPR certification at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six months of hire date
• Minimum three (3+) years Acute Care Operating Room RN experience
• Minimum three (3+) years Scrub RN experience
• Must be able to scrub - ENT, GYN, Urology, Plastic, and/or Ortho
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to work within a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Main Operating Room in a Trauma Center experience preferred
• Experience in Joints and Da Vinci robot preferred

Conditions

• Per diem shift requirement is an average of 1 shift per week
• Able to work various hours and locations based on business needs
• Able to float to Main OR and take call as needed

Hiring Pay Scale: $91.16 / Hour
