RN
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to patients. RNs coordinate care, perform patient assessments, educate patients and families, triage, and carry out various nursing interventions. They collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. RNs must demonstrate competency within their scope of practice and adhere to the full scope of nursing expertise and age/population-specific standards.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will participate in the implementation and evaluation of patient care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. LPNs educate and communicate with patients and their families, providing high-quality care that patients and families deserve. They are adaptable, reliable, and attentive to detail.
Qualifications
- RN: Graduate from an accredited nursing program preferred, including AACN, ACEN, and NLN CNEA. Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred. Current RN license with the State Board of Nursing and/or multistate licensure in NLC states. Required department-specific licensure, competencies, and certifications.
- LPN: Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse. If the position requires IV therapy/management skills, completion of a Board-approved AASPN program or an IV Therapy course approved by the ND Board of Nursing. Current LPN license with the State Nursing board and/or multistate licensure privileges. Required department-specific competencies and certifications.
