About the role
This role is in the OB Emergency Department, requiring weekend night shifts on Fridays and Saturdays in Birmingham, AL.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care following organizational policies and protocols.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans, documenting and communicating patient conditions.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary efforts for well-organized patient care.
- Follow physician and nursing orders accurately.
- Assess and coordinate discharge planning with healthcare team members.
Requirements
- Licensed Registered Nurse credential from the Alabama Board of Nursing.
- Current BLS certification within 30 days of hire, and Advanced Life Support within 180 days, both from AHA or Red Cross.
- Diploma from an accredited nursing school or college.
