RN (Registered Nurse) Nursing Supervisor All Shifts

About the role
We are seeking an experienced and clinical-minded RN Nursing Supervisor to lead our nursing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the coordination of total resident care, providing professional supervision across all nursing units. The ideal candidate possesses strong administrative abilities, a deep knowledge of nursing practices, and the clinical judgment necessary to adapt to complex situations while maintaining compliance with State and Federal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct morning and evening rounds to assess resident conditions, prioritizing critically ill residents and ensuring care plans are followed.
- Verify daily staffing levels, redistribute personnel as needed, and reinforce training and orientation for nursing staff.
- Partner with Charge Nurses daily to exchange information regarding admissions, discharges, transfers, and general resident well-being.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for emergencies, including changes in resident condition.
- Review incident reports for accuracy, participate in resident care committees, and assist in the implementation of the facility’s Quality Improvement Program.
- Ensure a safe, secure, and sanitary environment; monitor meal services to ensure nutritional adequacy and resident satisfaction.
- Perform medication passes and provide direct resident care as needed to support the team.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current and valid RN registration with the State Board of Nurse Examiners.
- Prior nursing experience in a long-term care setting is required.
- Previous supervisory experience in a healthcare environment is required.
- Must provide annual verification of a negative TB skin test.
Skills & Competencies
- Thorough knowledge of nursing theory, specialized medical equipment, and medication administration (dosages and expected results).
- Ability to recognize symptoms and make quick, accurate decisions during medical emergencies.
- Proven ability to train, organize, and direct staff effectively while maintaining a positive work culture.
- Ability to interact empathetically and professionally with residents, families, visitors, and government agencies.
- Knowledge of dietetics, sanitation, and personal hygiene standards within a medical facility.

Pay
$45–$52 per hour
