RN Registered Nurse Neonatal ICU NICU Part-time nights

About the role

Texas Health Southwest, located at 6100 Harris Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76132, is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) for their Neonatal ICU/NICU department.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• Affirms the patient’s plan of care
• Intervenes as appropriate based on assessment findings
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age-specific safety and infection control measures into patient care
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others' needs for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out-of-hospital transfers

Requirements

• Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program OR Nursing Diploma required
• BSN preferred
• One-year experience as a Registered Nurse (RN), or completion of an RN residency program required
• One year or more of Neonatal ICU/NICU Level III RN experience strongly preferred

Qualifications

• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days is required
• NRPA - Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days is required
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually

Schedule

Part time nights (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM) for 24 hours per week, with weekend and holiday requirements; 1 on-call shift per 6-week schedule.
