RN / Registered Nurse - Infusion

Responsibilities

• Affirms and implements the Plan of Care for assigned patients.
• Complies with policies and procedures related to the scope of services provided by Infusion nursing services, pharmacy services, and state laws and regulations.
• Adheres to INS and IgNS standards of practice, CDC guidelines, scope and standards of practice, and code of ethics as defined by the American Nurses Association.
• Collaborates with pharmacy staff, sales partners, ordering providers, and patients to establish and monitor treatment goals.
• Maintains patient care documentation in place of service, including home or AIS settings.
• Manages vascular access devices, including peripheral infusion device insertion and peripheral venipuncture blood draws.
• Educates patients and caregivers about their treatments and care plans.
• Evaluates patient progress towards treatment goals and recommends changes to the Plan of Care to physicians as needed.
• Coordinates nursing care with home health and other community agencies as necessary.
• Participates in on-call rotation as scheduled by branch protocol.
• Completes expense reports monthly, tracking mileage and other miscellaneous incidental expenses.
• Completes annual competencies and mandatory training within assigned deadlines.
• Supervises no direct subordinates.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Valid nursing license in state(s) of practice.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Previous infusion and home health care experience preferred.
• Extensive experience in IV therapy preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Flexible schedule with availability to work a variety of shift models.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Meets company standards for driving record and driver age requirement.

Qualifications

• Physical requirements include constant sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, crouching, stooping, and typing on a keyboard with fingers.
• The ability to push/pull and lift/carry up to 30 lbs is required.

USD $43.00 - $48.00 / Hour
