RN - Registered Nurse Department Pool - Labor and Delivery - Nights

About the role

The Registered Nurse works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team. The Registered Nurse is also responsible for professional accountability and development.

Responsibilities

• Care for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
• Collaborates and communicates with inter-disciplinary care providers in developing and assisting in the plan of care.
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates the plan of care in collaboration with patient, family, and significant others.
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares the room environment.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse license.
• At least 18 months RN Labor & Delivery experience.
• Associates Degree in Nursing, Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred.
• BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 shifts per every 6 weeks.
• One Saturday and one Sunday per 6 week schedule.
• One Summer and one Winter Holiday.
