Henry Ford St John Hospital’s Operating Room is a 19-room department supporting a variety of service lines, including General Surgery, Pediatrics, Transplant, Vascular, Plastics, Gynecology, Urology, ENT, Oral Maxillofacial, Robotics, Neurology, Orthopedics, Cardiology, and Trauma.

Major Duties

• Plans staffing assignments, makes room assignments, and coordinates daily schedule activity.
• Facilitates staff, patient, surgeon, anesthesia, and case movement to provide optimum service and patient care.
• Communicates with physicians to advise on case status and room availability, and serves as the point person for communicating with other departments to facilitate daily operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• 2 to 3 years of relevant acute care nursing experience required.
