RN Registered Nurse - Cardiac OR Operating Room - 36 or 40 Hours Weekly - Rotating Shift
About the role
Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
This position supports the Cardiac service line, operating 24 hours per day with 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shifts. On-call time is required and rotated among cardiac staff members, including weekends. Call is rotated on weekends between cardiac staff members.
Qualifications
- BSN preferred; graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
- Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
- Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
Schedule
Rotating shift, 36 or 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. On-call rotation required on weekends.
