RN Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care under the direction of a physician, nurse practitioner, or other advanced practice provider.
• Accurately and timely carries out specific verbal or written orders (possibly in the form of protocols or standing orders) generated and signed by a physician.
• Comprehensively assesses and counsels patients.
• Administers medication and treatment and performs procedures, as prescribed by a physician.
• Efficiently schedules patient procedures.
• Correctly and appropriately relays test preparation instructions, hospital registration requirements, and physician instructions to patients in a timely manner.
• Thoroughly educates and explains procedures and treatment plans to patients and caregivers.
• Competently assists providers to maximize patient volume.
• Returns patient calls in a timely manner.
• Documents patient care accurately and timely.
• Performs EMR tasks correctly and timely.
• Works and communicates effectively with all providers.
• Coordinates and assists in the delivery of a plan of health care with all care team members.
• Promotes teamwork.
• Provides great customer service in person and on the telephone.
• Fulfills regulatory and patient safety clinical standards.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Missouri Registered Nurse license.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a physician’s office setting, preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification through American Heart Association.
• Basic office skills, patient-centered mindset, excellent time management and organization skills; ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
