About the role
As a Registered Nurse (RN) at New Lebanon, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing patient care, coordinating treatment plans, and ensuring the highest level of nursing services are provided to our residents. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to assess, monitor, and evaluate the health status of each resident while providing leadership and support to the nursing team.
Responsibilities
- Lead Patient Care: Assess residents' health status, develop and implement individualized care plans, and provide direct nursing care as needed.
- Administer Treatments & Medications: Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and procedures while ensuring compliance with care protocols and regulations.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with physicians, LPNs, and other healthcare staff to provide coordinated and holistic care for each resident.
- Monitor Health Progress: Regularly evaluate residents' conditions, document changes, and communicate effectively with the care team to adjust care plans as necessary.
- Promote Quality Care: Foster a supportive and compassionate environment by ensuring residents' physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
- Provide Family Support: Communicate with families and loved ones to provide updates and support, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
Requirements
- RN License: Must hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio.
- Experience: Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation is preferred but not required.
- Clinical Expertise: Strong clinical skills with the ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Compassionate Leadership: A compassionate, patient-centered approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, fostering positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
