RN - Registered Nurse - Ambulatory PreOp/PACU PRN

About the role

The Ambulatory PreOp/PACU RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. The RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team, is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards, and performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

This position requires a minimum of 18 months RN experience. For this role, we strongly prefer at least 1 year of RN experience in Critical Care, Endoscopy, or PreOp and PACU areas. PACU experience is strongly preferred for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Independently care for a sub-specialty group of patients using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegate appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
• Maintain professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set by a nationally recognized specialty organization.
• Serve as a preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 months RN experience.
• Strongly prefer at least 1 year of RN experience in Critical Care, Endoscopy, or PreOp and PACU areas.
• PACU experience is strongly preferred.

Skills

Qualifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• RN (Registered Nurse) licensure.
• ACLS (Cardiovascular) certification if required by the department.

Preferred: Associate's or Diploma in Nursing; Bachelor's in Nursing.

Schedule

PRN (as needed), variable shift (Days, Evenings, Nights, or Varies). No weekend work or on-call requirement. This is an in-person role.
