RN - Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Operating Room PRN

Position Details

Location: BayCare Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery Center, 5329 Primrose Lake Circle, Tampa, FL 33647

Status: PRN, As-Needed

Shift: Variable, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM

On Call: No

Responsibilities

• RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• RN is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization
• RN also performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

Requirements

• At least 2 years of RN experience with 1 year RN experience in Surgery preferred
• This is a PRN position that will be focused on circulating Ambulatory Spine Surgery
• Surgery or Ambulatory Surgery experience is strongly preferred

Qualifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• RN (Registered Nurse)
• ACLS (Cardiovascular)

Preferred Nurse Specialty Education

• Associate's Nursing or Diploma Nursing
• PREFERRED: Bachelor's Nursing

Experience

• Required: 1 year acute care experience or 1 year interventional / procedural experience or 6 months RN acute care or interventional / procedural experience with prior LPN experience and completed competency assessment
• PREFERRED: 1 year Interventional/Perioperative Internship
