RN - Registered Charge Nurse - Cardiac - Days

BayCare Health System is currently seeking a Registered Charge Nurse to join our outstanding and compassionate Cardiac team at St. Joseph’s Hospital, a community partner for health and wellness since 1934. The unit specializes in cardiac PCU care for congestive heart failure patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide proficient care for a sub-specialty group of patients using effective managerial skills.
• Act as a professional role model for other members of the nursing team.
• Demonstrate professional accountability and development.
• Perform the role of preceptor and charge nurse.
• Serve as a mentor and resource expert.

Qualifications

• Active RN (Registered Nurse) license.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification (required).
• ACLS Certification (if required by department).
• RN Professional Nurse Specialty Certification within 7 months of hire/promotion (in lieu of education). Certification must be nationally recognized and applicable to the current primary area of practice.
• 2 years of RN experience (required).
• 1 year of leadership experience (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, BS in a healthcare-related field, or RN Professional Nurse Specialty Certification (required within 7 months of hire/promotion).

Schedule

• Full-time, non-exempt position.
• Shift: 6:15 AM – 7:00 PM (Days).
• Weekend work: Every other weekend.
• On-call: Not required.
