RN Rapid Response Critical Care - Jefferson Highway - Full Time NIGHTS

About the role

We are seeking a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses and Scope & Standards of Practice. This role involves effectively delegating, directing, and assisting licensed and ancillary team members, while maintaining accountability for quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Maintains involvement in activities aimed toward achieving unit and departmental strategic goals and objectives.
• Utilizes data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change for optimal outcomes.
• Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, ensuring respect for privacy and clear communication.
• Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources (human and fiscal) effectively.
• Serves as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• Two years of Critical Care RN experience at an Academic Medical Center preferred.
• Five years of Critical Care RN experience at a Community Hospital preferred.
• Certified in a clinical specialty area preferred.

Qualifications

• Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Skills

• Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
