RN - Radiation Oncology (Full-Time)

About the role

Healthcare at The Iowa Clinic is locally owned and led by our physicians, with all decisions made in Central Iowa. As a Registered Nurse in Radiation Oncology, you’ll contribute to exceptional patient care while working in a supportive, physician-led environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments, vital signs, and symptom evaluation for radiation oncology patients.
• Educate patients and their families on radiation therapy and potential side effects.
• Support on-treatment visits and assist with monitoring and managing treatment-related side effects with Radiation Oncologist oversight.
• Coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams.
• Triage patient calls and EMR messages.
• Assist with procedures and medication administration.
• Coordinate imaging and lab testing.
• Document accurately in the EMR.
• Maintain a safe and organized environment.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license to practice nursing in the State of Iowa.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• State of Iowa Mandatory Reporter Certification (must be obtained within 60 days of hire).
