About the role

Making a difference in the lives of older adults is the core mission of Covenant Living. This role is based in a 43-bed skilled nursing facility in Mercer Island, conveniently located near Factoria Mall and close to I-90.

Responsibilities

• Routine daily direction and monitoring of LPNs and nursing assistants to ensure high standards of nursing care and task completion.
• Assist in the orientation and training of new nursing personnel, reinforcing established standards.
• Communicate regularly with the Director of Nursing about assessments, observations, and resident and employee activities.
• Observe and evaluate residents' health, mental, and emotional conditions, and report significant changes to appropriate staff.
• Notify physicians and family members of resident conditions according to prescribed procedures.
• Provide routine direct care to residents.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State.
• One year nursing experience required.
• Devotion to professional nursing standards and principles.
• Skills in assessing problems, planning, and evaluating solutions.
• Patience, tact, and excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Genuine compassion for senior adults and the disabled.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $42.46 - $59.72 per hour. The actual pay may vary based on various factors including job-related qualifications, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and consideration of internal and external equity.

Schedule

Flexible schedule available, including weekends and holidays, with the possibility of working beyond normal hours and in other related positions on a temporary basis.
