About the role

The Admissions and Referral Registered Nurse (RN) plays a critical role in patient assessment and admission, handling diverse situations and patient populations while communicating effectively with referral sources. This position is essential to Rivendell’s success.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients during the assessment and admission process.
• Conduct ongoing patient assessments through observation of physical and behavioral symptomatology.
• Document all assessment data accurately and in a timely manner.
• Participate in the formulation and implementation of individualized care plans according to hospital policy.
• Communicate pertinent patient data to other service areas as needed.
• Assume responsibilities delegated to Admissions & Referral representatives as required.
• Operate within the full scope of practice outlined by the Arkansas Board of Nursing and agency policies.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Active or eligible Arkansas RN license.
• New graduates are welcome to apply.
• CPR and Handle with Care/Verbal De-escalation certifications (provided upon hire).
• Ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, visitors, and staff.
• Strong teamwork skills and commitment to treating all patients with respect.
