RN (PRN)

About the role

Medcor is looking for Registered Nurses to work on a PRN basis (as-needed) at our occupational health clinic located in Los Angeles, CA. We are looking for nurses who have availability during the overnights (weeknights, weekends, and holidays). This role pays $58.85/hr. Since this is on an as needed basis there are no guaranteed hours. If you have the availability to pick up 4 - 6 shifts per month, we invite you to apply.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all aspects of Medcor’s daily operations at clients’ place of business, performing duties related to workplace incident triage, emergency response, and treatment for employees, contractors, and guests according to Medcor Care Protocols.
• Have experience in the treatment of minor illness and injuries as well as major trauma and medical emergency management.
• Possess solid clinical skills and at least two years’ experience in Occupational Health, Emergency Department, ICU, or applicable experience.
• Help lead a team that provides customer service to Medcor’s clients and employees.
• Treat injuries and illnesses according to Medcor’s evidence‑based medicine protocols.
• Respond to medical emergencies.
• Administer screening and testing.
• Work closely with the Environmental, Health, and Safety department.
• Provide wellness education.
• Document utilizing an electronic medical record.
• Assist with daily clinic operations including clerical, IT, medical supply management, and medical equipment maintenance.
• Assist with Workers’ Compensation claim initiation (not case management) and OSHA record‑keeping.

Requirements

• Valid unrestricted California RN license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Positive and outgoing personality; able to prioritize and multitask; willing to go above and beyond for excellent customer service.
• Comfortable working alone or independently in a clinic environment.
• Minimum of 2 years field experience.
• Ability to follow processes and procedures with excellence.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and familiarity with EMR software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Pay

$58.85 per hour.

Schedule

PRN (as‑needed) position with availability required for overnights (weeknights, weekends, and holidays). No guaranteed hours; expected to pick up 4–6 shifts per month.
