Requirements

  • Current licensure in the state of Colorado as a Registered Nurse
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Experience in long-term care preferred

Responsibilities

  • The Registered Nurse is to utilize the nursing process in planning and providing direct care to residents as assigned.
  • Plan, direct and carry out shift routines in assigned nursing unit and observe, direct and evaluate the activities of personnel as the person “in charge” according to the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Assume “Building Charge” responsibilities as directed by the DON or Designee.
  • Provides leadership and direction in the assigned unit.

Resident Care Functions

Charting, Documentation and Assessment Functions

  • Serve on, participate in and attend various committees and meetings of the facility to enhance interdisciplinary process.
  • Other duties as assigned.
