Schedule
PRN - varies, as needed. No nights, no weekends, no holidays.
Responsibilities
- Treat and prevent minor injuries and illnesses, ensuring all medical clinical care is provided to students.
- Provide information and guidance for the promotion of good health and well-being of students.
- Provide nursing care to students as authorized by the medical provider and within scope of state-specific nurse practice act.
- Supervise staff LPNs (Licensed Practical Nurse)/LVNs to ensure compliance with all state regulations and scope of practice for practical and/or vocational nurses.
- Provide basic health care to students as required by DOL, including all entry requirements and immunizations.
- Monitor students with illness who are unable to attend class.
Requirements
- Valid, unrestricted RN license in the state of employment.
- Experience working with youth in a paid or unpaid capacity is preferred.
- A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
