Responsibilities
- Treat and prevent minor injuries and illnesses
- Assure all medical clinical care is provided to students
- Provide information and guidance for promoting good health and well-being
- Supervise LPNs (Licensed Practical Nurses) and LVNs to ensure compliance with state regulations and scope of practice
- Provide basic health care to students, including all entry requirements and immunizations
- Monitor students with illness and unable to attend class
Requirements
- Valid, unrestricted RN license in the state of employment
- Experience working with youth in a paid or unpaid capacity is preferred
- A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record
Qualifications
- Education: Valid, unrestricted RN license in the state of employment
Skills
- Ability to provide nursing care
- Knowledge of state-specific nurse practice act
- Experience supervising LPNs/LVNs
- Basic health care knowledge and immunization understanding
