RN - Private Duty Nurse
About the role
Maxim Healthcare is hiring a Registered Nurse to work with Pediatric and/or Adult patients in their own homes. This position provides contracted, private duty nursing services in a home setting.
Pay
$40 – $50 per hour, with weekly paychecks.
Schedule
Flexible scheduling – part-time and full-time opportunities available.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to clients receiving contracted services.
- Initiate the plan of care when directed and request any necessary revisions from the prescriber as patient status and needs change.
- Incorporate therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals.
- Intervene as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and report such changes to the appropriate physician or supervisor.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and monitor and document effectiveness of intervention.
- Review the plan of care and program protocols and identify areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting, and discharge planning needs, as applicable.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state in which the nurse practices.
- Current Health Certificate (per facility Registered Nurse contract or state regulation).
- Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
- Current BLS card.
- One year prior Registered Nurse (RN) experience preferred.
