About the Role

The PRN Pre-op/PACU Nurse is a Registered Nurse that provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. The RN Pre-op/PACU provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations. This role supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization and reports to the Manager of Peri-operative Services.

Experienced in supporting the following specialties: Orthopedics, ENT, General, GI, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Urology.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care using the nursing process in a fast-paced ambulatory surgical center (ASC) environment.
• Deliver safe, effective, and patient-family centered care in PreOp and PACU settings.
• Apply strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Implement aseptic techniques and adapt quickly to changing patient conditions.
• Collaborate effectively with staff, patients, and physicians as part of a high-performing team.

Requirements

• Unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum of 1-3 years' previous experience in PreOP/PACU.
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred.
• Current BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications.

Pay

Pay range: $40.90 - $50.00 per hour. Wages are determined based on qualifications and experience.
