RN PreOp PACU
About the role
The Pre-Op/PACU/Pain Registered Nurse at North Denver Endoscopy Center is responsible for organizing and directing activities in accordance with nursing standards, Joint Commission, Medicare, and all other applicable federal, state, and local guidelines. This position cares for patients within the scope of practice for the facility (pediatric, adult, geriatric), admits, evaluates, assesses, and teaches patients to prepare them for their procedures or surgeries. The RN may perform CLIA waived laboratory testing required prior to surgery as ordered. The PACU RN plans, coordinates, and oversees care for patients in the PACU department, providing care within nursing standards of practice and the policies of the Center.
Responsibilities
- Care for patients within the scope of practice for the facility (pediatric, adult, geriatric)
- Admit, evaluate, assess, and teach patients to prepare them for their procedures or surgeries
- Perform CLIA waived laboratory testing required prior to surgery as ordered
- Communicate patient assessment information to the attending physician
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee care for patients in the PACU department
- Provide care within nursing standards of practice and the policies of the Center
- Make decisions regarding direct patient care needs and communicate appropriate information to other team members and providers
Requirements
- Candidates must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
- Must have a current unrestricted RN license in the state.
- 1+ years of experience working as a registered nurse required. ASC or Operating Room preferred
- Current American Heart BLS certification.

Pay
$34 - $53/hr (based on experience)
Schedule
Weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call.
