About the role
Provides proficient direct patient care within an ophthalmology setting, ensuring safety, optimal outcomes, and resource utilization.
Responsibilities
- Performs and documents pre/post-procedure assessments, evaluations, and patient education.
- Responds effectively to life-threatening situations following nursing protocols.
- Delivers complex nursing care in a fast-paced environment.
- Assesses learning needs of patients and families, providing appropriate education.
- Demonstrates critical thinking, decisive judgment, and minimal supervision.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse licensure with BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Minimum 6 months RN experience or completion of a fellowship program.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Ability to work independently, handle stressful situations, and adapt quickly.
