RN - Pre/Post/PACU

About the role

100% FTE, 8/12 hour evening/night shifts, Monday – Friday with no on-call responsibilities. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. Position located at East Madison Hospital in Madison, WI.

Responsibilities

• Assist with overnight hold patients.
• Provide care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric perioperative patients and their families.
• Evaluate patient’s responses to care based on effectiveness of nursing interventions/actions in relationship to established goals.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.

Work Experience

• 6 months of current surgical general care or emergency department experience required.
• 2 years of current independent PACU, critical care, or ICU experience preferred.

Licenses & Certifications

• Registration as a professional nurse in the State of Wisconsin upon hire required.
• CPR certification upon hire required.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• PALS certification preferred.
