USPI Arizona Specialty Hospital is hiring a Full-Time Registered Nurse with PreOp/PACU experience. Arizona Specialty Hospital is a specialty inpatient hospital which was established to set a new standard for excellence and patient satisfaction in the delivery of orthopedic and spinal surgery. Our singular focus is the state-of-the-art care of musculoskeletal conditions including joint replacement, spine surgery and other reconstructive procedures. Job Summary
The RN Pre-op/PACU is a Registered Nurse that provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. The Registered Nurse, in the operating room, provides nursing care and service during surgery cases. The RN will be working in PreOp/PACU (responsible for positioning the patient, prepping the patient) and circulating the case. The RN supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies
- Provide nursing care and service during surgery cases in the operating room
- Work in PreOp/PACU, including positioning and prepping the patient
- Circulate the case
- Support the mission, vision, and values of the organization
- Care for patients from infancy to geriatrics
Requirements
- Current Arizona Nursing License
- Current BLS, ACLS
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience in a hospital setting

- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, hospital staff, physicians, vendors and the public
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, receptive to change, creativity and innovative
- Ability to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient
- Understands principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
- Excellent teaching skills
- Basic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideology
