Job Title: RN - PICU Job Summary Provides specialized critical care nursing to pediatric patients with serious or life-threatening medical and surgical conditions. Continuously monitors patients, manages complex treatments and therapies, and collaborates with the multidisciplinary pediatric critical care team. Education & Experience Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.1–2 years of PICU, pediatric critical care, or acute care nursing experience preferred.Experience caring for critically ill children and managing complex pediatric conditions is preferred. Licenses & Certifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.BLS certification required.PALS certification required.ACLS certification preferred or required based on facility requirements.CCRN-Pediatric certification preferred. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive assessments and continuously monitor pediatric patients for changes in condition.Manage medications, IV therapies, blood products, ventilators, and other critical care treatments.Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, respiratory status, and other critical parameters.Recognize and respond promptly to pediatric emergencies and changes in patient condition.Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.Provide age-appropriate education and support to patients and families.Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow infection control, patient safety, and critical care standards.
