RN Physician Extender

About the role

The physician extender acts as a liaison between physicians, patients, hospital, and office. Performs assessments of patients and documents according to protocol. Accountable for assuring delivery of quality nursing care for the designated patients in accordance with the individual patient's needs, physicians' orders, and PH policies, and standards of practice. Responsible for working collaboratively with management, physician, and coworkers to provide excellent service to our patients.

Requirements

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must hold a current Indiana Registered Nurse license.
• CPR certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Must have 2 years' experience in a medical setting, with cardiology experience recommended.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacology, and cardiac rhythms is needed.
• Requires essential computer skills and knowledge of electronic medical records.
• Good verbal and written communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Indiana Registered Nurse license.
