RN - Pediatrics Phone Triage

About the Role

Utilizes the nursing process to provide professional nursing care to patients within the medical practice in support of, and as directed by, the physicians. Assists the physician in the treatment of patients and completes related clinical paperwork. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.

Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and performs duties in a manner consistent with Mercy’s mission, values, and service standards. Integrates Christian values into all crucial human issues within the scope of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to pediatric patients via phone triage.
• Assist physicians in patient treatment and complete related clinical paperwork.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Communicate with patients, families, visitors, and employees in a caring, friendly, professional manner.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure in the state of Missouri.
• CPR certification (or obtain within 90 days of employment).

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours per week. Monday through Friday, with shifts available from 8:00 AM–4:30 PM or 9:00 AM–5:30 PM.
