Pay

Competitive wages based on experience: $30–33 per hour, plus shift differentials.

Schedule

12-hour night shifts available: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM.

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled nursing care to residents in our long-term care and rehabilitation community.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and physician orders accurately and safely.
  • Assess residents and communicate changes in condition promptly.
  • Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team.
  • Maintain timely, accurate documentation.
  • Help create a safe, comfortable, and compassionate environment for residents and families.
  • Supervise day-to-day nursing activities in accordance with federal, state, and local standards.
  • Assist the Director of Nursing in directing nursing activities, including policy development and compliance.
  • Ensure reference materials (e.g., PDRs, regulations) are current and accessible.
  • Participate in developing and updating the Nursing Service Procedures Manual.
  • Make written and oral reports to the Director concerning nursing service operations.
  • Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of care.
  • Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required; complete accident/incident reports.
  • Attend and participate in facility committee meetings (e.g., Infection Control, Quality Assessment).
  • Ensure sufficient staffing of licensed nurses and certified nursing assistants for each shift.
  • Develop work assignments and delegate administrative authority to Charge Nurses.
  • Monitor nursing service personnel performance and compliance with policies.
  • Inform staff of new admissions, room assignments, and resident needs.
  • Make rounds with physicians and ensure timely documentation of progress notes and orders.
  • Consult with residents, families, and physicians to plan care, treatment, and rehabilitation.
  • Visit residents daily to observe and evaluate physical and emotional status.
  • Provide direct nursing care as necessary, including IV starts, specimen collection, and vital signs.
  • Monitor medication administration and treatment schedules for accuracy and compliance.
  • Inspect nursing service treatment areas daily to ensure cleanliness and safety.
  • Ensure residents unable to call for help are checked frequently.
  • Report occupational exposures and suspected fraud in accordance with facility policies.

Requirements

  • Active and unencumbered South Carolina RN License.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
  • Long-term care experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a team-first attitude.
  • Compassion, reliability, and commitment to exceptional resident care.
