Float team members have the option to travel to various locations and regions within the health system.
About the role
Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA, including ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health. Strives to achieve optimal outcomes.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing (Required)
- Bachelor’s in Nursing (Required within 5 years)
- Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program (Required)
- Registered Nurse (RN) license – State of Michigan (Required upon hire)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required within 90 days unless otherwise noted)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – AHA American Heart Association (Required within 180 days)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (Required within 180 days)
- 2+ years of PACU experience (Preferred)

Schedule
- Full time
- Day shift
- 40 weekly scheduled hours
- 8-hour shifts with variable start times from 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM
- Days worked: Monday – Friday
- No weekend work required
