RN PACU

About the role

The PACU Registered Nurse at North Shore Surgical Center is responsible for providing continuous and quality nursing care to patients emerging from general anesthesia or sedation. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, as well as assisting physicians in the procedure rooms.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care in the PACU
• Evaluate patient conditions and ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy
• Assist physicians with tasks such as conscious sedation and sterile techniques
• Work in collaboration with other healthcare professionals to support patient recovery

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited RN school
• Active RN license in IL
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• At least 2 years of experience in PreOp/PACU, Med/Surg, or Critical Care
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical setting preferred
• Able to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Qualifications

Pay

Pay range: Min $36.22 - Max $54.33
