RN - Outpatient Surgery - OALH - PRN
About the role
We are seeking a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses and Scope & Standards of Practice. This role acts as a leader in the Interdisciplinary Team, managing nursing team resources and supporting the achievement of unit and departmental goals.
Responsibilities
- Effectively uses the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.
- Achieves learning needs and implements teaching strategies appropriate for diverse patient groups.
- Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources (human and fiscal).
- Evaluates and promotes change to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Embraces concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale.
- Supports the company's philosophy of nursing.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
- Current RN license in state of practice.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Certification in clinical specialty area preferred.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Skills
- Knowledge of current federal, state, and local laws, accreditation standards, and regulatory agency requirements.
- Ability to remain knowledgeable on compliance-related concerns and ensure compliance with all such laws, regulations, and standards.
